Research Programs for Non-Profits

We are strong supporters of protecting and conserving our natural marine ecosystem not only in our local Maryland waters but across the globe. The name of our vessel "The Malama Kai" is Hawaiian for "Stewardship of the Sea" because we believe that as boaters, divers and ocean enthusiast, we are responsible for protecting and serving what we love.

We have designed a research charter service option specifically for non-profits and other marine conservation efforts. This research charter service option will allow non-profits to have access to our boat, captain and our crew for a day of research in and around Ocean City, MD waters at a discounted price. The surrounding waters include the Mid-Atlantic Ocean up to 10 miles offshore out of the Ocean City Inlet, the Assawoman Bay and the Isle of Wight Bay. This service can accommodate up to six passengers / scuba divers.

We can also offer a "themed" charter trip option for the members and supporters of your organization that you host and manage yourselves on our boat. In this option, you would charge whatever you wanted for the "themed" trip and keep the proceeds for your non-profit after deducting the discounted charter boat costs that we would charge for the boat, captain and crew service.
